EFT is "psychological" acupuncture.
It is done without needles and
without physical pain. Instead the client is taught
to use the fingertips to gently tap on specific energy
meridian points, located
mostly on the face and neck, while thinking about the
problem or challenge, such as a phobia or a trauma.
The current theory is that "the
cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the
body's energy system." EFT often helps with physical,
as well as emotional issues. There is a very strong
mind/body connection and EFT, in the hands of a skilled
clinician, can often find the "core issue(s)" to help
resolve, or at least greatly reduce physical problems.
With emotional issues, including phobias, traumas, and
depression, EFT has a very high success rate.
EFT is easy to learn. One of
my goals is to teach it to my clients so they can use
it on their own. My intention is to help clients learn
the EFT method so that they may be able to help themselves
relieve their own traumatic memories, phobias, feelings
of guilt, and bothersome physical symptoms.
Although I cannot give you a guarantee
of success or promise you perfect results, most of my
clients report that this method works very effectively
and very quickly.
