Robert Moore is a Florida licensed
marriage and family therapist, school psychologist,
and mental health counselor. He is an Associate Fellow
and Training Supervisor for the Institute for Rational-Emotive
Therapy in New York and a seventeen year former Director
of the Institute's Florida Affiliate, the Institute
for Rational Living, Clearwater. Since 1992, he has
served as Director and Clinical Supervisor of a component
of the Domestic Violence Intervention Program of Pinellas
County (FL).
Moore is a Certified Trauma
Specialist through the International Association of
Trauma Counselors, a Fellow and Diplomate of the American
Board of Medical Psychotherapists, and a Diplomate in
Professional Counseling of the International Academy
of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling and Psychotherapy.
A guest lecturer for the International Society for General
Semantics and continuing education program presenter
for the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies,
he has co-edited and/or contributed to five popular
books by Albert Ellis and authored chapters on various
applications of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Traumatic
Incident Reduction for professional texts edited by
Dryden, Hill, and Wolfe. He has hosted his own nationally
syndicated, daily, talk radio program and produced a
series of psychological vignettes for national radio
and the Cable Health Television Network (Lifetime).
